Shot Notes
Trains are one of my favorite methods of Transportation. In my opinion, it’s the most comfortable way for long distance travelling. They are so fascinating (when they are not so crowded) and I love that strange smell of oil when I go to a train station.
I used to travel to matara when I was a kid with my family quite often. This is my brother having a cup of tea. Captured from my beloved G502 which was stolen about a month ago.
love the way you have captured the fast movement of the train and the stillness inside

Hey man ,
A lot to write after seeing your photo. First the funny remarks.
* ) Why dont you try to remove the pimple on your brother’s nose using photoshop of gimp ? He would love it for sure….
Going to Matara by train with family … brings back a galore of memories ……. In early 90’s before the 3 wheel era the only way to travel from Matara station to Matara bus stand was the bullock cart. We , as kids loved this at the beginning but as we were growing up we felt sorry for those animals. Today , as i think there are no bullock carts there.
The oil smell … brings me back to those good old days. I also still love the smell of oil..
great posts and i am your fan already

@deeps: Thanks
Yeah, no carts now. Trishaws have replaced them I guess. Thanks for the nice thoughts.
@chathura: Thanks machan. Will post more.
@Sadeepa: The pimple – well yeah I could’ve removed it but why should I?
Nice shot!
